It worked out well because once OP linked us to said cheating douche's myspace page, both he, and the his current girlfriend (who had also been cheated on) were both online.


I assume they got a flood of emails, and she called him and bitched, then he took out his anger on the OP.


This was the best possible outcome, and for some reason it's all disappeared now.
