You really need to get yourself cranked up and excited about the benefits of going to class -- even if you know on one side of the brain that you're [censored]ing with yourself. As I suggested to the first poster, instead of focusing on the crummy pay earned by the teacher he plans to become, focus on the 3 month vacations and the year long sabbaticals every decade. That's why I gave the example of the high school teacher I know who took a sabbatical to Italy. In most occupations, if you don't work for a year, that's called being fired on your happy rear end.
Think of an exciting positive outcome of going to class. Visualize it. Fantasize about it. You can get yourself cranked up and end up doing very well.
