Bodybuilders have avoided milk since the 70's. Some respond worse to it than others.

Cottage cheese and yogurt are fantastic. Look at the label of your cottage cheese though. 4 grams of carbs, 13 grams of protein per serving. In milk there is a much higher amount of lactose(which is a sugar, lets not forget).

You're fine if you have milk with your cereal in the morning or use it to make a shake at night. Just remember that water should be your main source of fluid and that you shouldn't rely on milk to fill that void. Moderation ftw.
