Who'd win in the classic theoretical fight - 1 horse sized duck Vrs 100 duck sized horses?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think the horse-sized duck's feet would be large enough to squash the horses. With his giant bill the duck could also probably eat 2 or 3 mini-Secretariats at a time.

Can't really think of a counter strategy for the horses.

Whats the biggest downswing you have ever had (bb's)?

[/ QUOTE ]

11 buy-ins at NL $200 or about $2250.

Bad beats, cold decks and tilt (not necessarily in that order) is not a good recipe for success.

Who's the player in SSNL you'd least like to play HU?

[/ QUOTE ]

Isura or Jam. Dustbustr would be my first choice, but I consider him a MSNL player.

Have you ever lied to your friends so that you could stay in and play poker instead of going out with them? - if yes, more than once?

No. My wife keeps me in line....

Why can't I beat 50NL-100NL 6-max playing over 16/10/3?

Why when I think I play aggressiv poker and then check my stats for the session I still see numbers as low as 12/8/4.2?

Thanks to old timers like Fimbulwinter, TWP, xorbie, ghazban and Yves my weak tight ways were quickly identified (They just humiliated me until I saw the light

What is the state of SSNL in your eyes?

Will you ever go beyond 200nl?

Can you get me a job when I finish my MBA?

I am a recreational player and use my winnings as fun money.

[/ QUOTE ]

What is your cashout strategy?
Where do you play now?

[ QUOTE ]
Now I play NL$200 mostly at FT.

[/ QUOTE ]

**edit -- i'm a little slow on Monday AM's**

What is your BR strategy (30 buyins? 40?)
What is your PTBB/100 where you play now?
What do you spend your money on? 1/2 stuff your wife can enjoy too and 1/2 stuff for you?

How important is it for a recreational player who has had success at full ring games but who has not done well at 6 max in an admittedly small number of hands (less than 10k overall) to focus on getting better at 6 max?

Or to put it differently: Is it OK to leave 6 max on the back burner and focus on moving from 50NL to 100NL full ring or is it better to learn the smart aggression and psychological stability needed to win in the high variance/high profit 6 max games?

Is my computer haunted?

Longest breakeven stretch?

[/ QUOTE ]

That's tough. I had 10k downswings followed by 10k upswings that put me at break even over the stretch. So that's 20k hands. I could easily imagine that it could be worst if I ever hit a 20 buy-in slide.....

[ QUOTE ]
If you played 25NL, what was your PTBB before moving up?

[/ QUOTE ]

No PT when I played NL$25. I played it for about three months and moved to the 50's. Any number I give would be a wild assed guess. Maybe in the neighborhood of 8 PTBB/100.

[ QUOTE ]
Current stakes you primarily play at? PTBB there?

[/ QUOTE ]

NL $200. Overall (100k hands) 3.8 PTBB/100. Last 10k hands - 5.8 PTBB/100.

[ QUOTE ]
Your on the button w/ no reads and same size stacks as you do, UTG raised it, CO reraised, you have AKs, do you reraise, call, fold?

[/ QUOTE ]

I fold. At best you are coin flip and UTG most likely shares one of your cards which makes the odds even worse.

I hate to say wait for a better spot, but you have invested $0 and have no idea what CO's range is so I would prefer to see some showdowns or get some stats before I mix it up in marginal situations.

[ QUOTE ]
Bankroll management: I primarily 4 table, and yesterday I had gotten stacked twice within 60 hands, I had aces preflop and my stack went in before the flop, but they were cracked both times, anyhow I was feeling a little tilty, do you recommmend dropping a table or two during a session when this happens, or should I keep the playing 4 tables and work through it?

[/ QUOTE ]

Methods of tilt control vary be person. If I am playing well and get bad beat or out luckboxed then I usually just rebuy and play my game.

If I feel like I am off my game or not reading the table correctly then I will stop.

One thing that I will do sometimes is close all my tables and then start over selecting new tables. I trick myself into believing that I am starting a brand new session.

Ah - nothing makes a Monday morning better than having this be the topic at hand...

1. Batman - real superhero? Or just a rich guy with too much time on his hands and lots of cool gadgets?

2. Where did "Frank" come from?

3. You have a choice of the following 3 girls. You must have sex with one, marry one, and kill one. Who do you choose for each for:

a. The 3 girls from Friends
b. The 3 girls from Saved by the Bell

I'm spending my day thinking of things to ask you Frank

1. Which political party is your home?

2. You would legalize which of the following: Gay marriage, marijuana, hard drugs, prostitution, dangerously aggressive bestiality.

3. If you could select the next U.S. president from the current pool of possible candidates, who would it be and why?

4. Why do women care if men don't go to bed at the same time as them? And I don't mean the obvious, for other readers. We're married. Some women complain if we stay up and play poker when all they want is for us to BE next to them. Why is that?

5. Last five songs you've listened to.

6. What scares you most about your daughters growing up?

7. What is the best athletic moment you have ever had?
