Oops, sorry. I play on a couple correspondence servers and got the games mixed up. Thanks for the PM pyramid. I resign. God, I should have looked at a board before that last move, I'm really not retarded, just thought I had already played Nf6. Gg.

Swingdoc, don't you think a resignation here is a LITTLE hasty? You're only down in position and I have no clear win.

Also in all correspondance chess youre allowed to use books/databases just not AI's or other people, so a game never needs to be lost in the opening

Nope. I've analyzed the hell out of this position when I played the SM gambit with white and it's practically a forced win for white if he knows what he's doing. +3 or something when I analyzed it a year ago with rybka.

I'm sure you're just trying to be helpful here, but this comes off as awfully condescending.

Sorry, but I figured a disaster in the opening meant you weren't doing this, a lot of people think it's 'cheating' I wouldn't take it as condescending because obviously you know more than me, I don't see the forced win

I actually thought after move 6 or so you were knew what you were doing and I probably SHOULD NOT have opened with the Smith-Morra Gambit, because it only works on idiots. I'm probably fortunate you were careless.

in fairness he can easily think you are beginner or close (before this post). If you started a game with almost anyone else on the forum I wouldn't expect them to have access to a database, never mind use one.
