It's such a good stress reliever to talk to my fiance about my downswings. And the funny thing is, she NEVER gets tired of hearing a bad beat story, he actually asks for them.

this is my favorite,
"You think I could give you... ya know like ten bucks and maybe you could... run it up or something?" ..after my blank stare.. "I'll cut you in on the profits" ..still staring blankly.. "Well lets call it $40" ..blah blah explaining why it doesn't make sense.. "Ok well I'll give you $100, but play careful with it"

I get that one too..."But, how much did you lose?"...then I explain, the winnings take the losses into account.
Once I was explaining how much "time" or rake we pay at the casino. I was up about $2000 for the month after 110 hours...at 12 bucks an hour I said I had paid over $1200 in time...my buddy said.."so your only up 800 then, huh."
