Re: Auto Raise Hands in PLO?
[ QUOTE ]
Position is very important, deep stacked its always an error to raise the SB. I like raising to thin the field, so I raise bad hands not good ones. For example I wouldnt raise A678 with a suited A because I dont want people to fold KQJ high flush draws preflop, but I raise 5678 to get higher flush draws and wraps to fold. Low wraps are very playable short handed, but death with lots of limpers. [/ QUOTE ] These statements are all based on some big assumptions and some specious reasoning. For instance, not raising a suited ace because you want people to play K high flush draw hands? Have you even played PLO before? I hope I am being leveled here, and if I am, its pretty funny. Also, LOL at not raising good hands because you don't want to thin the field. |

Re: Auto Raise Hands in PLO?
I raise very good hands in position,
but good hands in medium position I just try to see a flop. Bad but playable hands in medium position play much better with a raise, you can turn bad position into good, and its very deceptive, if you get heads up people can put you on AA and call you down with 2 pair. Basically if you are going to play bad hands its better to raise with them. |

Position is very important, deep stacked its always an error to raise the SB. [/ QUOTE ] This is not even close to being true. In my 1-2 6-Max career with 4 or more players, my PFR from the small blind is 10.7%, so I set up a filter for just those hands that I raised/re-raised from the small blind: Almost 25% of my total profit from this period comes from these hands. Statistical anomaly? Sure. Always an error? No way. |
