Re: Australia: yes or no?
misschriss: unless you're making 50k+ your job probably sucks, aren't you like 17 or 18 or so? srsly... go on the trip. this is a no-contest. if you don't go, you will seriously just hate yourself for it. i know this because i'm the guy that didn't go on the trip.

Re: Australia: yes or no?
Yea I'm still 19, almost 20 tho. It's a very well paid job but like I said, it's just work experience -meaning I'm still in college and need this to work because otherwise I might fail..
And if school finds out I'm not doing my placement they will probably kick me out or I'll have to do the whole thing again in like the summer vacation... |

Re: Australia: yes or no?
[ QUOTE ]
Because I feel bad about not going to work experience (I enjoy doing it, it's what I want to do later) [/ QUOTE ] After my first ever real-life two week vacation from a full-time job, I was surprized to discover that no one at work really thought I had been gone that long. Since then, I've striven to take ever longer vacations. |

Re: Australia: yes or no?
[ QUOTE ]
My boss doesn't really mind but I get a bad feeling.. What do you think I should do? What would you do? [/ QUOTE ] I once took a girlfriend on a trip to California for 12 days. The weather was really nice. I talked her into renting a boat and cruising around in the Pacific for an afternoon. I turned my back to get a beer out of the cooler, and when I turned around, she was gone!!! My theory is she fell of the boat and was eaten by a shark, but the police are still investigating it. Re: Australia: yes or no?
I was attacked by a kangaroo. It didn't do any damage, it just got my clothes dirty because it had dirty feet and it kicked me. I was surprised so I just backed away from it, but from that encounter I'm pretty sure I would win in a fight vs a large kangaroo. They are strong but they don't have the physical capability of doing much damage because of the way they are built. They can bite though if you get your hand near their mouth.
