Re: I do this a lot now
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] in really aggressive games and especially aggressive short games you are missing value by not putting in more action because nobody believes anybody and nobody folds anything. that isn't to say i think checkraising the flop is the best play but it should certainly be in your bag of moves. [/ QUOTE ] Fully agree here. BTW, weren't you the one who started the WA/WB line with Ax? Maybe we need to call that CDC's theorem. I have been working on a "surfdoc's theorem" which should be unveiled soon as long as a few people think it is good. [/ QUOTE ] i don't think i invented it per say but i was one of the first to make posts about it. but that was when there was still a good amount of online full ring games going around. but in today's shorter (and more aggressive) games sometimes you just have to get frisky. i mean i still wouldn't want to necessarily start putting in action with A2 but hands like A8 where they will 3-bet you with like A5, raising has more merit, especially when you suspect they won't ever fold any pair to you ever. |

Re: I do this a lot now
I'd like it better if you hand didn't turn into a monster that gives a redraw. Donk the turn and 3-bet, no risk to a free card, maximum value vs an Ace.
