Re: Super Bowl food beyond chips and dip
The choice for "main dish" this year is obviously deep dish pizza.
It's not the best "no plate" food, but for when you're actually sitting down and watching the game, good stuff. brats/etc still get some good points for tradition/midwesternness, but pizza - yum. |

Re: Super Bowl food beyond chips and dip
Pretty sure my sis's boyfriend will grill a ton of different sausages.
A friend of my sis's makes the best gumbo ever. It'd be so awesome if he brought a batch to the super bowl. |

Re: Super Bowl food beyond chips and dip
Probably green chile. Got the stuff for it today. It could get made early tho.
I am envious of El D's Sunday morning now too. |

Easy good stuff:
Red Beans and Rice (with andouille sausage) Pork tenderloin Rotel (I know you said beyond dip...but this [censored] is GOOT!) Also an easy out if you are bringing food: Chik Fil-A Nugget trays FTW! |

Re: Super Bowl food beyond chips and dip
My Taquitos.
Onion, tomato, roast beef and a huge chunk of jack cheese rolled in a softened corn tortillas and fryed in good ole' oil. Just the basics, try not to put too much crap in your taquitos. Can be made the night before (store to tupperware lined with a moist cloth so the tortillias do not break/crack while cooking). Never fail. |
