Any chance I had of reading this book just died.

You will save yourself braincells. This book could not have been dumber and any more pandering if Shaq had written it.

haven't read the book even tho i'm sure i'd enjoy it

i will see the movie ASAP but won't read book first as i don't like to see a movie right after (ie within 6 months after) i read the book it's based on

[/ QUOTE ]

whys that?

[/ QUOTE ]

i just haven't enjoyed movies as much if i had just read the book vs ones that i had read years earlier...i don't wanna still remember everything that happens and just be watching a live-action version of what i read...if it's been awhile, then it'll be familiar without me knowing exactly what will happen at any given point

I'm reading it for the first time(not because the movie is coming out, I've been wanting to read it for a while, just never got around to it)

I will not be re-reading it. It is good escapist fiction, but not worth a re-read.

However - a slight hijack, but relevant to this thread - has anyone read Map of Bones? It's largely a Da Vinci Code ripoff, but it's pretty decent so far (about 1/2-way through) - again, purely escapist fiction, but some cool concepts like DC.

Angels And Demons was alot better than The Da Vinci code.

The movie will be good because Tom Hanks has the lead, and that's usually good enough.
