Ok, I think we've beaten the 'bet the flop' line to death here. Since I was the villian I can tell you that had he bet the flop, I would have thought for at least a little while (board contains lots of possibilities), and then raised about 3-3.5x his bet (given it was already a reasonable size). What does he do then?

You fold, people are way less likely to bluff raise the flop in a 3-bet pot with anything you beat (or with anything you have a big equity advantage over).

Also the flop won't be raised all that often at all...

he typed out a well-written, detailed post explaining why he believes you should bet the flop here. Regardless of whether he is right or not, you should extend him the same courtesy and explain why you disagree with him.

very very good post

if i cbet this flop (which i am not even sure I like) i would fold to a raise.

What do you guys think of a c/r on this flop? If we are called and turn is blank I am c/f

my thiking probably sucks in this situation, but this is exactly the reason I checked, I really want to see the turn card and betting and getting raised here would force me to fold. I'm probably over-estimating the times I am raised on this board.

Here's another question, say we bet $35 on the flop and get called, do we fire againt on the turn?

Also, how many TAG villains will bluff this pot on this board on the flop AND the turn?? I don't think too many, which is part of the reason i felt c/c, c/f wasn't that bad of a line...

So you are saying you're going broke here all the time?
Because you put his bluffing range > then calling range?

I think that's bad if that is what you are saying. I'm willing to go broke here but id rather be shoving flop.

I may suck at poker though

Kilillan- Thanks for the response. I have a couple of questions. His bluffing range is definately wider than his calling range here- excellent logic. But by allowing him to take control of the pot, you have to be willing to play for stacks here, right? Do you feel its better to check/call him down with no control of pot anticipating a bluff? How do you feel about a c/r on the flop? I feel this may be the best line because he may fold a better hand like AQ w/o a spade. Is this illogical thinking or am I too aggressive in this spot? Thanks in advance for your help.
