In this $0 to $10,000 challenge that Ferguson is doing for the second time, aren't a lot of his winnings directly from cash games? Or did you mean high stakes.

Paul Wasicka was a pretty sick LAG from the old 10/20NL days at Party.

Didn't it take like 7 months from 0 to $100? Then the heater...

Just kidding, maybe he just was cold decked or the site is rigged.

Isn't Chris Ferguson the guy that told Phil Gordon "just play your best cash game" as a strategy for winning tournaments (in LGB)? That would imply that he has played cash.

Of course he'd be good. It's possible that he has problems with the ethics of playing cash games and taking people's money. In tournaments the most a fish can lose is the buyin.

Dude he's not _really_ Jesus.

When he was on High Stakes Poker they said he had never played a cash game before. I find that very hard to believe, he won some but didn't do that great really as I remember.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, he's stated in interviews before that he got his start in a 1-5 no ante Stud game (could have been 1-3, but definitely remember it being no ante) in Vegas back in his early college days. I'd have to imagine he had play the occasional cash game on full tilt, or on the side during tournaments.

If he started playing and focusing on them more? Seems like such waste to play just tourneys and miss out...Kind of like a Hellmuth...but most ppl agree PH is a bad cash playr.

[/ QUOTE ]

Who agrees? Just because hellmuth has 11 WSOP bracelets and no cash-game bracelets doesn't mean he is actually a bad cash game player. Seriously, the guy started out grinding cash-games (like 99% of all tournament players) and he still grinds them out today.
