Re: which poker pro is the most educated ?
[ QUOTE ]
It's well-known that pro poker potentially offers a lucrative career option for those that didn't have the opportunity to pursue an eduction, or who didn't like or didn't fit into the educational system. It's also interesting to think about why those with excellent educations would instead choose to pursue poker. [/ QUOTE ] The first case looks like the most potential candidate for professional poker. The latter case must have made significantly more playing poker and/or did not like enough of their chosen education/job. If I would be interested of higher education and working there, I would, but as I am not, I do something more fitting to my bird's brain and just add poker to that (my small, weak and slow brain can handle the smaller computations with experience). Maybe I do better at poker when I am ready, maybe not but it's worth the shot as I do have a brain - that can't be said about most of the people. |

Re: which poker pro is the most educated ?
There is no name professionals who are highly educated. Computer science and engineering degrees are only applied mathematics. They are middle range degrees. A Law or Medicine degree is 3 times more difficult to achieve. And any dumbo can become a patent attorney.

A Law or Medicine degree is 3 times more difficult to achieve. [/ QUOTE ] Difficult in terms of ... ? The % of world's population who are capable of attaining a PhD in math or computer science from a name university is probably 1/100 % those capable of attaining an advanced degree in medicine or law. You don't have to be ultra smart, creative, and comfortable with a "blank piece of paper" to get an advanced degree in medicine or law. In fact, I've heard law school is rather easy. |
