P. Diddy's Kashmir abomination. I can't even listen to that song now.

Thank God Jimmy Page died in 1980, or else he'd be turning over in his grave.

[/ QUOTE ]

I know you're trying to be humorous, but never mind the fact Jimmy Page actually played this onstage with P. Diddy once. It was either the Grammy's or eMtpY vee awards, I forget which.

Rod Stewart's cover of Robbie Robertson's "Broken Arrow" angers me deeply.

Ditto Indigo Girl's cover of Dire Straits "Romeo and Juliet".

"Layla" unplugged - it makes me mad just thinking about it.

I think this qualifies. It's like Bad Eric Clapton covering Good Eric Clapton.

[/ QUOTE ]

Along the same lines, "Unforgiven II" always sounded to me like bad Metallica covering good Metallica.

I really hate Tori Amos' cover of Smells Like Teen Spirit.

Limp Bizkit's "Faith"

The cover of "Behind Blue Eyes" is even worse.

Indeed.

In fact, Faith was probably their best song, though that doesn't really say a whole lot.

Holy sh*t. I just remembered one, thanks to you:

Rod Stewart doing Tom Waits' Tom Traubert's Blues. So awful.

Saddest part -- probably 15-20% of 2+2 either bought a Limp Bizkit album, paid to see them at a concert, or still has all the Limp Bizkit crap they downloaded from P2P networks.
