hey it just dawned on me that maybe movies on a first date go back to the drive in days. seems like that would be a better way to 'get to know' someone than seeing a movie nowadays

JaBlue - Go easy on me man. This wasn't just ANY movie. It was documentary about a psycho cult leader that convinces almost 1000 people to drink arsenic laced Kool-Aid. This is about the guy who inspired the phrase "don't drink the Kool-Aid." And one of the few survivors made a personal appearance.

So how'd it go? I agree on the idea that seeing a movie is a bad idea for a first date. Just think of Taxi Driver... So don't try to dodge the trip report. I want the whole embarrassing story.

IMO I thought it was pretty slow at the beginning and the book was many times better.

I was pretty dissappointed now that I think about it.

Best movie for a first date is Dumb and Dumber. You will be able to find out if she has a sense of humor and if she doesn't like it you can give the boot immediately. Also you will share many upon many laughs even if you've both seen it 9000 times.
