IMO, old guy has AK here and Justin has KK. Hows my read?!

[/ QUOTE ]

Why do people make comments like this?

[/ QUOTE ]
yeah, seriously, i don't know if this was a "terrible attempt at strategy" or an "attempt to post results before the discussion was finished", but either way it needs to not happen

FWIW the old guy was Dewey Tomko. Ryan raised UTG, I was UTG+1. The comment about an online player in position and that my raising range is big is absurd, its UTG and UTG+1

Saying your 3betting range UTG+1 of an UTG raiser is huge is obviously absurd. Nobody said this, however.

Saying your 3betting range in this spot is wider than a described "old guy"'s cold 4betshoving range is not absurd, and makes a lot of sense.

not really, i bet justin doesn't 3-bet AK here, especially with these stack sizes. maybe not even QQ. tomko with 30BB OTOH is going to happily get his money in with either hand.

Obviously knowing its Tomko (whos pretty solid from what I remember) changes things.

if anything Tomko is tighter than an unknown... that doens't change that he's playing his strong non-AA/KK hands faster than Jurollo is his, given the situations.
