goofball,

I've never played chinese live, so I'm a little out of my element, but might the problem have been the 1 dollar a hand rake?

I guess you were 4-handed, but the game plays quite slow right?

Plus, it's not exactly the same as keeping a shorthanded game going, because nobody's going to be sitting down for chinese.

Someone with more experience enlighten me.

I was playing in this game with beset, goofball, and Entity. It was such [censored] that they wouldn't let us play, since that's all we wanted to play and we tipped the dealers and waitresses about 2 racks within a few hours.

Such crap.

There were maybe 30 people in the room at the time, we play Chinese fast (we all have experience in it), we tip the dealers well, and we're willing to pay $1/hand in rake.

Not allowing this game is just a bad business decision.

Kayleb - nice meeting you, sorry I had to dip out for the remainder of the weekend (very sick). Venetian would let you spread the game for future reference, but considering how late it was I assume the game would have broke first.

All: The standard rake for $5/point Chinese poker in Vegas and LA is $1/hand. What the players in this game requested was not unreasonable.

good for you for complaining. but in this context your post comes off as calling this lady out by name and trying to sic a bunch of strangers on her. that seems like going too far for simply failing to do you a favor ("overapplying" the rules she's given). the tone of all the posts by the people there that night all sounds pissed off. I think this all would have sounded much better without her actual name.

If you played in the room daily like Goofball does then her name isn't a big deal. I'm going to ask management about this next time I'm in the room this week, will report back with details.

Two thoughts-

From my limited experience, Katherine has been great, which isn't to say she isn't in the wrong here. This thread isn't at all disrespectful of her. If you play at the Wynn often, it's impossible not to know her name.

At the Venetian they did spread this game for some 2p2ers.

This was total lame. OTOH, she probably saved me at least 2 million dollars in blue.
