I'd do it for superpowers also.
Either Hiro Nakamura style or Gleek the wonder twins monkey. Okay Gleek really didnt have any powers but he got to hang around and I am sure see Jayna naked- and she was a hot teenage superhero. Oops- was that out loud?

Something "worth it" means that if you did that certain action and the bad side happened, you would take the same chance later, fully aware of the repercussions.
The answer here is that it is clearly never worth it.

This is mostly a act of selvishness, what if you die. All the ppl you love and love you will be in sorrow and will have a harder life.
