Calling definitely has its merits, especially vs a showdownmonkey with a WTSD of 46% - this guy is playing pretty close to correctly postflop versus our hand, calling down A-hi and most K-his and peeling with worse hands and folding the turn. We can use this against him by keeping the pot small and value betting him when we make a pair.

Assuming he plays more sanely postflop I agree with your sentiments.
