This team just sucks balls. Big ones. If the Phillies aren't in first by the end of the weekend I will be shocked.

unfortunately, the pitchers who were available at the trade deadline (ie gagne) have sucked balls in the 2nd half anyway

[/ QUOTE ]

And if the Mets had gotten one of them and it didn't work out, I would have blamed Minaya. But now I blame those who didn't even think bullpen help was a priority.

[/ QUOTE ]

i think minaya knew it was a priority .. he tried hard to get cordero ... but he couldnt swing a deal

im numb right now

Would that also be Minaya?

I know I said this a few minutes ago, but I'm going to say it again. This team sucks giant balls. I hate all of them.

I'm just looking for a scapegoat right now. I assume Minaya knew that the bullpen was the number 1 priority, and that he just was unable to find anything decent. I don't know if any of the relievers who were actually dealt ended up helping their teams.

But I do recall Bobojedafan disagreeing when I said, at the time of the trading deadline, that the bullpen was the main need. I think he said that the bullpen was fine. So, I'm going to stick with blaming him.

Do you have a better candidate to blame?

Oh Malik is coming back. Don't worry about that. Probably sooner then I want, but that avatar is coming back. :-)

msnbc (haha) thinks the mets will hang on. Granted, they also think Charlie Manuel should be a candidate of manager of the year.
