2 things:

1. someone like that is a total nitfish which means he overplays stuff, has no concept of position, is too aggro in certain spots, and too weak in other. this means that we are in a great spot because we have position (and can pot control if needed) and we dominate his range.

2. like I said: nitfish really suck which is why they can also make huge preflop mistakes including calling reraises oop with 77/88 or AK.

fair enough, but I think he's a lot more likely to make a mistake postflop with a marginal overpair than he is to call a large reraise OOP with the same hand.

In my experience these kind of nits tend to be really careful preflop and really spewy postflop, so I prefer disguising our hand against a tight range and getting him to spew postflop with worse hands.
