One of Ron Paul's leading VP candidates and favorite economists is Walter Williams, a black man. [/ QUOTE ] Oh, he can't be racist, he has a black friend? C'mon.... |

When you interfere with my right to privacy and my right to travel, I'm gonna consider that a big deal. It's a shame that you are enough of a puppet to disagree. [/ QUOTE ] So have the those rights been "taken away", or "interfered with"? |

[ QUOTE ] Except he originally defended the comments as HIS OWN, and only denied them MUCH later....... Amazing. [/ QUOTE ] If you're actually interested in credible sources rather than slander, you might want to get to work on that. [/ QUOTE ] What more credible source than the words of the man himself....lol....Ron Paul defended the comments as his own, and only much later denied they were his.... |

Plus, the racist newsletter bit has been circulating for a WHILE and has pretty much been disregarded even by those who have much to gain by discrediting him. [/ QUOTE ] I dunno, I'm just now seeing it, and in his own words he sounds like pretty much like a racist to me. |

I've mentioned this before, but the alternative to Ron Paul writing that newsletter is that he couldn't supervise his own campaign newsletter's editor closely enough to make sure that person wasn't a gigantic bigot. [/ QUOTE ] Not to mention, he originally defended HIS words by explaining they were "in context to current events"..... And then later he said he was LYING and they weren't his words. But not once did he call the quotes improper, nor did he apologize for them, despite admitting that he was "morally responsible" for them. Ron Paul = RACIST. Ron Paul = LIAR. |

[ QUOTE ]
The New York Times is at least twice as credible as "somebody telling me on the interwebs" [/ QUOTE ] Is the NYT more credible than PAUL HIMSELF....who originally defended HIS quotes? [ QUOTE ] That newsletter came out 15 years ago. If those are Ron Paul's views, why aren't there more quotes from him, before or after? [/ QUOTE ] I imagine he's keeping his racism to himself these days, since it makes for bad press. Let me ask you this, it's been 15 years....where's Paul's condemnation of those quotes? Because all he's done is justify them by saying they were in "context". |

[ QUOTE ]
If I understand correctly, Dr. Paul has accepted responsibility for this, has corrected the situation, and has apologized several times for the oversight. [/ QUOTE ] Source of him apologizing for the improper quotes? Source for him condemning the quotes? Or do you just have a source for him "claiming" they weren't his words.......despite originally defending them as his own. [ QUOTE ] Other than admitting the error and trying to rectify it, I don't know what else he can do. He's an ossum candidate, but I don't think he has a time-machine. [/ QUOTE ] He still has never apologized for the racist quotes, only defended them. |

[ QUOTE ]
This isn't the only thing he's latched onto in this thread while disregarding or ignoring information from other equally "credible" sources. [/ QUOTE ] My "credible" source on the MCA bill was the text of the actual bill. Oops... My source on Paul's quotes is Paul himself. Right out of the racist man's mouth. Oops... Your "credible" source is the rhetoric of and blind devotion to a racist politician. Yikes... |
