I don't know why people act like you have to be anti-social when you're a poker pro. Just set a schedule for yourself of playing 3-4 hours a day or something, and take a day or two off weekly just like a regular job.

The "poker-pro" lifestyle does lend itself towards laziness and being a recluse, but it doesn't mean you have to live like that. Time management is pretty key, although it's easier said than done.

oh, and dont try and go pro unless you're really good, and you dont mind all that much if you fail because hey, you're young and not afraid to take risks. if you aren't both of these, particularly the former, it probably wont work out.

playing for a living can be very stressful but everything else about it is pretty awesome. make sure you've got a bankroll, play within it and good luck.
