u are underestimating

not to mention 1/5th of the field prob satellietes in and runs up a big stack by being luckboxes, easy pickens at certain points

but ur point i think pertains more to the final table and thats what makes huge winners so good, is that they can beat the best at the end

In the $180+ MTTs, how much fish money could there be?

I was just talking about high stakes MTTs in general.

And yeah, I did forget about the fishy sats that feed into a lot of these MTTs.

How will I ever be a good FT player if I never make it to the final table?

reading this makes me wanna play some MTTs

but there are so many negative aspects:
-you cant quit if you are tired (and fatigue starts when you are deep)
-it's so expensive with fees, etc.
-i suck at them
- you play for 5 hours and finish 30th win $40

oh yeah that was my 4th point, i forgot it, so i posted anyways.
It's really frustrating, if you play for 2 hours and you get sucked out on the bubble or just in the lowest ITM places. I'd cry everytime.

The key is really to play cash games during that time so that it really isn't time wasted.

[/ QUOTE ]Hmm, I'm tempted. Midnight madness in 4 hours? Maybe I'll do that + cash games at same time. Not like I need to actually pay attention to my opponents.

In the $180+ MTTs, how much fish money could there be? You're relying on variance/luck obviously to get yourself deep into a tourney...but when it comes down to it, how much EV is really on the table in the much higher stakes?

BTW, it's completely possible that I am underestimating these things.
