[ QUOTE ] I [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] your content kyle, but I have a feeling that after this series I'll be wishing you and yours nothing but pain and failure [/ QUOTE ] He has posts with content? [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, but they involve math and actual analysis of baseball. I expect few Cubs fans to understand. |

[ QUOTE ] No, it's just obvious you're trolling. [/ QUOTE ] I've said some trollish things, but overall? No. I just disagree with some dumb [censored] that's been said during this game. [/ QUOTE ] I never had a problem with any of your posts. In fact, this thread would be boring if it was just filled with Cubs fans blowing one another over how awesome we are. Having said that, kyleb's post are pathetic. |

Check out the last sentence, before it gets edited. And no, I'm not the person that wrote this, as I would've been writing in all caps and talking about how I want to have his children. |

[/ QUOTE ] Since it'll get taken down soon: "Soto is proably the best player ever in this world. He is so good, that people don't believe that he is actually a human. But, he is! He is the best and he is going to lead the cubs to beat the diamondbacks in the NLDS." |

Re: The Official 2007 Chicago Cubs Thread
Uh, I think you are getting a little excited about Soto. He's good, but be realistic. He's probably going to hit 6th. I see next year's line-up as:
Soriano DeRosa Lee Ramirez Murton (c'mon Lou, play the kid already!) Soto Pie Theriot Of course, depends on what they do in FA. |

If Pie can get his bat going for at least a mediocre average, that could turn out to be a scary lineup. Lots of speed with some good power, too. |

Re: The Official 2007 Chicago Cubs Thread
The real question marks are Jones, Pie, and Theriot.
I think Pie is going to be a bust, and Jones just flat out sucks. Hunter and Jones are going to be horrifically overpriced, so free agency isn't a good option, either. This position is going to [censored] us no matter what we do. At least at short, we know what kind of production we're getting from Theriot. Gambling with Pie and the parade of backup catchers trying to find someone to play everyday really hurt, so if nothing else, at least we won't endure a spot hitting .210. I think the best option is Cedeno. But regardless of who Lou goes with, he needs to get steady playing time. And Soto should be hitting leadoff, ldo. |

Next year's lineup will look substantially better when we sign A-Rod.

What makes you think Pie is going to be a bust?
