This might be better then it appears.

Barrett in 211 AB: .256/.307/.427
Bowen in 82 AB: .268/.371/.439

Bowen is five years younger with more upside. Barrett has baggage.

also got Kyle Burke,19 year old OF minor leaguer who was drafted 35th overall in the draft last year. apparently has an enormous power potential and ridiculous ceiling. there are conflicting reports about which team is receiving the cash considerations

If this is the case, it's probably a good deal. I thought that it would be a patented Jim Hendry move where they get a worse player and a non-prospect for a quality bat in the lineup.

hahahahhahah rob bowen SUCKS

Kyler Burke hit 209/313/294 in 163 ABs in 2006 in rookie ball
and is currently hitting 211/305/268 in low-A

those SLG%s aren't typos. BA ranked him 14th in SD's system before the season, though.

WTF guys, losing Barrett, who cares? He was horrible for chemistry, horrific defensively, and overrated offensively. His average offensive ability did not make up for his other attributes. Good riddance, Michael.
