I seriously don't get how people can get so worked up over a sport that ends like this, wtf

Is this a joke?

Would be funny if it wasn't coming from a soccer fan

was this fight good? I know it was close, but was it worth watching?

[/ QUOTE ]

I was 6-tabling while watching and I only felt like I missed 1 good punch from watching replays and listening to the announcers.

This fight is why MMA is growing. These boxers are great athletes, very active in the ring, no one was hurt much at all..calling this anything but a draw is silly. Its like those 0-0 soccer matches...

In MMA someone usually clearly wins.

pbf said b4 the fight, this was it for him. and he just said it again postfight.

[/ QUOTE ]

He's still so young and finally got a big time fight. Seems like he could make a lot of money now.

I guess that's how boxing is scored, but something just seems lame about winning for being defensive for almost the entire night, and never really doing more damage besides a light jab every 15 seconds.

[/ QUOTE ]

This has always been my, and I assume any casual boxing viewers', issue with boxers outside the heavyweight division. It doesn't even look like these guys were in a fight and all they do in the match is dance around and whoever avoids punches best wins.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yep. Even a lot of heavyweight fights looks like this. I've never been able to get into boxing because of the incredible subjectivity.

sorry, I just have trouble getting into boxing. Like someone said; a lot of dancing around and hugging. I still have respect for the sport, but pbf would last 25 seconds in a MMA match. Likewise, the best boxers in MMA would last 2 rounds max with gloves on against anyone close in their weight class

lol ok, getting a penalty near the end of a close game is really frustrating but at least when the game ends I don't sit around in my couch going "omg, I hope those 3 guys think we played well enough to win".
Meh, to which is own I guess, carry on.

The announcers were a COMPLETE JOKE. They were all over Mayweather's nuts. Apparently every single punch by Oscar was a waste of effort and every flinch by Mayweather connected 100% with Oscar's face.

announcers around here were saying how disappointed they were with Mayweather and how they expected a lot more out of him
