Carmona would be starting both games on full rest, so the only short rest start would be CC in Game 4.

Well, that changes it, but I still think the 4 man is a reasonable decision. Winning the DS isn't the only consideration.

I'd hope that he's smart enough to pull Sabathia quickly if Game 1 is a blowout either direction so Sabathia can start Game 4.

Winning the DS should be the only consideration. There is no point worrying about the next round.

Have you guys seen the track record of guys starting on short rest? It's not pretty.

And yes, there are other considerations. Winning the DS is a means to an end.
