Wow, I left for a dinner and a movie with Oakland leading 1-0 figuring they'd win by roughly 9-0 and crush the second game equally. How terrible.

Wow. What the hell happened to you guys? Double header double loss to KC?

I can laugh about that, but not about Street...is he okay? Did he get hit by a line drive or something? Don't like seeing players get injured...

Angels pick up 1 1/2 games today...not bad. Hopefully we can continue the M's misery tomorrow.

Losing two to KC is not unexpected. The A's always lose to them for absolutely no reason.

IS HARDEN EVEN ALIVE STILL? Or is he frozen in the northern Tundra also known as Canada?

His homeland?

He's the AL's Mark Prior. As an A's fan, I have learned to accept this.

He's not as bad as Prior, at least not yet. He needs another year or two like this before I'd call him that.

FFS, the mariners are sooo bad and the rangers pitchers are trying to knock vlads head off with pitches

[/ QUOTE ]

Not to hijack my own thread, but wow. Just saw the hilights on ESPN. That was some seriously bush league pitching by the Rangers.

Late response, but yeah...I agree. Vlad got hit, and thrown at twice near the head. WTF is up with that Showalter? Is he really the one to blame? Some announcers were saying he has a "tough guy" reputation around the league....I don't really know myself.

The Royals swept Boston a few weeks ago. They also split a 4 game series with the Yankees in NYC. They went on a tear near the end of the season last year as well. I think what happens is that the contending teams look at the remaining schedule and just kind of assume a W for all the Royals games.
