both 6 and 6a. i [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Stars [/ QUOTE ] I guess I'm the only one that doesn't want turbos? These take barely over an hour to complete and so much less variance than turbos. If you want flipament steps suggest that to stars. If I want to try and qualify for a big event I want some skill involved. |

I would actually play the steps if there was 6a.

Re: Steps on Stars -- feedback requested
Given the options mentioned above, I'd prefer to have 6 and 6a both available.
My suggestions outside of that would first and foremost add turbos, and secondly to seriously consider offering these for straight cash in the future. |

Re: Steps on Stars -- feedback requested
As a low limit player if I had to choose one over the other I'd choose 6a. But don't see a problem with you keeping both running and letting the player population decide.
Echo the comments re: some mechanism to offset the high limit players beating up on the lower limit guys who work their way up. Offering a 6a does this by allowing the lower limit player like myself to have the option of possibly recouping the $ if they make it that far. But I can't fault the higher limit folks from wanting to beat on folks like me. Wonder if this option will force the top talent to move down to the level 4's, which should be interesting... I'd agree with no turbos given the variance argument above... Awesome stars - thanks for listening. |

Hello there, MTTc... As we consider some options for the PCA Steps, we'd like your opinions, please. The current PCA Step system has been very popular; 33 PokerStars players have earned their way to the Caribbean via the current system. While the system is working well, some players (here, other forums, in email, etc.) have expressed a desire for a single table Step 6, and thus we've been considering options for the PCA Steps. Here's what we're considering: PCA Step 6: current structure, 18 players, 3 packages PCA Step 6a: 9 players, 1 package, cash to places 2 through 7 (2nd/3rd: $1,500 / 4th/5th: $1,000 / 6th/7th: $500) Thoughts? If the choice is between having both 6 & 6a, or having only 6, which would you choose? As always, thank you for your time. All the best, Bryan S. Tournaments Administrator PokerStars Poker Room Management Team [/ QUOTE ] if you do this ill def play lots... just pay three players though with 2nd and 3rd getting 4k and 2k cash, or four if you absolutely have to. |

Re: Steps on Stars -- feedback requested
I'd like to agree with the guys that are in favour of the 6 AND 6a tournies. As a low limit donk, i achieved level 3 of the steps, but was a little put off by the 18 man step 6. I think your suggested idea is great.
Not much original input i know, but I just wanna let you know that I am entirely in favour of the idea, as i'm sure many others are too! Particularly the cash aspect! HURRAH! |

Re: Steps on Stars -- feedback requested
How about having both turbos and non-turbos for steps 1-3 only? Enough of these run that everyone can play whichever they prefer. For 4-6, those don't run as much and the stakes are higher, so non-turbos only.
Also, Sunday Million steps would be nice -- there could be 4 steps with buyins of $2, $7.50, $27, and $82. |
