I'd say no. But I'm guessing they can by going 3-10 here down the stretch and missing the playoffs entirely.

Not an exact transcript (but close).

Nats Announcer 1: The Mets have to worry about who they are going to face in the 1st round. Good pitching beats good hitting and the Mets look like they are going to give up alot of runs.
Nats Announcer 2: ACTUALLY...if the Mets keep playing like this they might not even make the playoffs. We've just been assuming all year they would win the division. But after the Phillies win tonight they will only be 2.5 games out. There is no guarantee that the Mets will be the wild-card after finishing 2nd in the East.
