There is a downside however, in that I have to pee within half an hour every f'in time, which is -EV if it makes me miss a few hands. Cuz I'm not going to pee in a cup or something from my chair in the living room. [/ QUOTE ] Mason jar under the desk FTW. [ QUOTE ] From my own experience this is very true at other limits as well. Ever since I've learned how to beat 200NL, I find it very easy and enjoyable to push everyone around at 100NL. However I don't think it's +EV to take a shot for this purpose alone if you are expecting to lose 5 buyins; you have to at least believe that you can beat it. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah this is right on. It is a nice bonus to taking shots though. 200 feels so easy to me now, though that can be a curse of its own because it really isn't easy and if you get lazy you'll still lose. |

Is it time for July brags yet? By far my best month ever.
FTP : 200NL : ![]() 17638 hands, 10.87 PTBB/100 Also you can see the spot in the middle where I was totally playing awful, that's when I kept posting that I couldn't take 200 seriously and I was making some really bad spew stackoffs there, could've been much better ![]() This is lifetime at Absolute; it includes a bit of June; I only got $300 on cuz of stupid ePassporte, so it starts at NL50, then 100, then 200, then I started taking crazy shots at high stackes games and it just goes through all the limits after that. Shots are going well Something like 9 PTBB/100 across the levels but that's mainly from crazy high winrate at the lowest levels. ps. no giant images to wreck the thread peeps m'kay thanks!! pps. I only 4 table so I'm sure lots of you beat me for hourly |

Im drinking green tea as I type this. I cant stand it warm so I drink it cold. If you guys didnt know, it's alot better if you dont actually boil the tea itself imo. Boil the water, then take it off the stovetop. Then seap the tea bags in the water just for a few mins. I usually drink it everyday and it really helps me concentrate. The crash is not near as bad as coffee.
Antioxidants FTW! ![]() |

I suck at flipping.
KQs OESFD vs set of tens AJ fd vs pair of 99 T8s pair+FD vs over pair of JJ And all this in a matter of 20 hands. Way to ruin my breakeven session :< |

Looking forward to August. I may need to kill myself or at least cause major harm if August is worse or even on par with July.
~36 hours till this hellish month is finally over. |

[/ QUOTE ] Right, if you're still struggling with 1/2, I wouldn't recommend taking a shot at 2/4. However, if you're just solidly grinding out your hours, a shot at a higher limit can really boost your game. Note that I didn't actually lose at 2/4, I'm up ~2k in 8.5k hands, but I definitely don't feel I'm one of the best players at most of my |

I am going to try 2/4 next month (with a 50-buyin roll, I'll drop back down if I lose 15-20 buyins) since I ran insanely hot in 1/2 this month, just wondering what kind of winrate drop people usually see between 1/2 and 2/4?

[ QUOTE ]
By the way: I would recommend taking a shot at 2/4 to anyone who can set aside a little bit of money. I'm lucky in that I'm very overrolled, but even if you can afford to lose only 2k, it's worth it. Beating up on everyone at 1/2 is incredibly easy once you've tried to hold your own under the aggression at 2/4. [/ QUOTE ] Sustainable? ![]() |
