Wow.

But I don't understand the turn check + river donk.

[/ QUOTE ]

you mean turn call+river donk.

With that river card I was pretty sure I had the best hand and wanted to make sure i got some value on the river, I also wanted to give both the spewtards behind me the opportunity to bluffraise. I would have 3-betted river if not the player before me called, he was the only one I thought could have a good hand.

probably should give more action, but I thought I didn't have equity to do that, you know the feeling when playing morons... "this time they must have something!"... I thought there where some strong draws out there that I didn't have enough equity, but the river felt very safe.

Wolfram in your AA hand it's really about how many bets you want to see going in on the turn/river. By c/r'ing the turn you open yourself up to get 3-bet which would suck pretty hard.

Only if you assume that the flop action tremendously narrowed his range. If not, you won't get 3-bet as often and low probabilities do a lot to desuck things. Also you have 8 outs so the additional bet lost is really .83 bets.

I admit, I usually give quite a bit of credit to flop cappers unless I know for sure that they're complete retards.

I raise AA utg, utg+1 3bets, mp calls, button caps, I call, others call.

utg+1: laggy/maniacal/bad pf, weak/bad/loose postflop
mp: fish
button: good player, knows i'm on the laggy side. also i run hotter than the sun against him

flop: A92 rainbow
I pretty much have to bet here right?

[/ QUOTE ]

It's .25-.50 and he coldcalled, so I'm not giving him too much credit. QQ is a pretty hand.

But if we ignore the coldcall issue and it were much higher, the button raise means a pair to get the BB out, therefore the hero 3-bet means a king, therefore the button cap means AK or a A-high diamond draw or something straight-ish like QJ diamond or even a made hand that might want to see the river for cheap, and pay off there, but would make a correct fold to a turnbet.

unless you think that UTG+1 will bet for you and you've got a chance to c/r or 3-bet the field depending no the button. But if UTG+1 and MP are going to check to the button then you just shut them out by c/r'ing on the flop when you could probably get them to make a few hopeful calls in big pot.

So I think leading out is the best play unless UTG+1 is going to bet a heavy majority of the time.
