If only he could combine his game with your mental constitution.

[/ QUOTE ]

Right. Because I am comparing myself to him. How is this relevant? He's the pro, not me.

he plugged along with pars, nothing spectacular, while everyone else fell by the wayside.

Isn't this how Tiger wins majors? So if it's Tiger he's great, when it somebody else, it's not that big of a deal.

[/ QUOTE ]
No, Tiger wins by accumulating large leads and coasting to victory. When he's around the lead he tends to not do so well, e.g. the first three majors of this season.

You are projecting yourself into his mind and finding it lacking.

I remember him stepping up recently - the 2004 Masters. But Phil ran wicked hot that day and stole the green jacket from him.

[/ QUOTE ]

That was pretty sick. 30 on the back for Phil to take it from him.

You're kidding right? Even if that's true, finding his mind lacking does not mean I find mine adequate for that situation. Not sure how you reach a conclusion like that.

Tiger's 4th round average in his major wins is 69.25

Just as mildly amusing trivia: Woods would have beaten Ames 6&5 today by my count.

Tiger has managed to make the game look so easy that you folks appear to have ingested large amounts of LSD.

[/ QUOTE ]

Please. If Ernie hadn't turned into the "basket case" as you called it, he absolutely wins several more majors. Tiger's thoroughly in his head and has been for years which I find pathetic in a top notch golfer at that level.

[/ QUOTE ]

Rather than find it pathetic you might be awed at someone with well publicized mental battles putting himself into a position where he might experience dramatic success or failure. Or not, ofc.

Ernie is a proven loser in these spots. Woody, however, has the attitude to actually suck it up and make meaningful shots.

[/ QUOTE ]
Hilarious. Els has 3 majors and people call him a choker. Same with Phil.

I laugh at statements like those.
