Re: The Official \"Tom Brady re-writes the record books in 2007\" Thread

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I said its clear Manning>>>>> Brady and than showed that he is beating him in every single statistical category except he throws a few more picks per pass attempt and has less rings so I don't see how I ignored his argument. [/ QUOTE ] Which, oddly enough, is probably the stat that has the least to do with surrounding talent. Interesting, no? [/ QUOTE ] Except take away both rookie seasons and Manning becomes much better in that stat. Also, I could be completely wrong about this, but it sounds right : Manning has been behind in games for his career more times than Brady, because of their defense. It seems to me that the more often you are behind, the higher your INT rate will be because to come back you need to increase your variance. [/ QUOTE ] 43% of Manning's career pass attempts have been while his team was behind, Brady 33%. Career attempts per INT while behind is basically identical. 1 INT per every 28.5 attempts for both. When ahead or tied: 1 per 44 for Manning. 1 per 34 for Brady. |

Re: The Official \"Tom Brady re-writes the record books in 2007\" Thread
[ QUOTE ]
Brady needs to average 2.56 TD's in his remaining 9 games to break the TD record. I think he's a favorite at this point. I think he does it unless major injuries hit or if a couple late home game are played in really bad weather all 4 December games will be played outdoors in the Northeast [/ QUOTE ] 2.56 TD's per game is a pace of 41 for a whole season and Brady's career high is 28 so this isn't some kind of cinch. |

Good point, just because Brady has Moss 41 TD pace will be no problem for him even though there've been four 41 TD seasons in NFL history
just LOL |

That year his QB threw 39 TDs... and in the 15 games hes played since then hes only thrown 12! |
