nothing beats driving through Iowa for boringness

LOL.

Driving through Nebraska is worse than Iowa. So is driving through Kansas. Coming from someone who has driven all the way across Iowa and Nebraska 10+ times, Nebraska is way worse, and it's not close.

so i just got this email from my cousin (who is 40) who i tried to help learn how to use a computer and teh internets last week. here is part of it:

"I'm still not sure how to "format" my typed messages. You know...making indentations, starting a new paragraph, etc. I am used to using a typewriter that has a "return" lever. An electric typewriter has a "tab" button, that would automatically return the thing to the correct location. (This letter seems to all be in one line.) How the hell do I indent? Or start a new paragraph?"

im surprised he was even able to send that

Im thinking that you may be a bit biased based on your avatar but alas I cannot say for sure as Ive never driven through Nebraska so well just conlude that they are both boring drives. On the other side a very good state to drive through is TN.

Devin,
You should have driven through MTL and/or been in Kingston for homecoming.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yea, bad timing. I'm going to try and make it to the WPT in niagra though.

Devin,

That's going to be one hell of a drive. What's your plan for how long you're going to make it? The middle stretch is going to be the absolute worst. It's so flat and barren, when you hit a speed bumb, you'll be able to see South Dakota.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yea, I'm not really looking forward to that part of the drive. I'm going to do it in 3 days, about 12 hrs a day.

I made it to Wawa, Ontario today which was a very scenic drive. Both through what is basically Toronto's cottage country and along the great lakes.

I bought satellite radio and downloaded some audiobooks for the drive.

I'm also a skier who enjoys it off and on based on where I'm living at the time. When I was younger I would ski 4-6 times a week and I've been lucky to ski all over the globe from Japan to the alps. I've been to Lake Louise and Banff in Alberta and Whistler in BC.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yea, my hometown is kinda sparse with jobs. Especially now that I have a 2 year hole in my resume.

I used to ski every weekend when I lived in Ottawa. I was a ski patroller actually. I've only skied one or two days per season the last 2-3 seasons

Unfortunately, I've only skied on what you'd considered bumps in the terrain. I'm looking forward to the rockies.
