Is picking Priest in the 14th Round an egregious error?

[/ QUOTE ]

Michael Bennett > Priest if LJ isn't playing.

10 Man League picked 5th. QB,RB,RB,WR,WR,RB/WR,TE,K,Def

1-5 Joseph Addai, Ind standard
2-16 Willis McGahee, Bal standard
3-25 Reggie Wayne, Ind dependent on what else was available, but standard
4-36 Marques Colston, NO one of these picks(R3 or R4) should have a decent 3rd RB available, given you can start 3 RBs you should be looking for that, otherwise this pick is standard. Given this was a 2WR league, it makes more sense that you got the next 2 WRs that you did
5-45 Roy Williams, Det good value
6-56 Anquan Boldin, Ari good value
7-65 Philip Rivers, SD too early
8-76 Ravens D/ST, Bal too early
9-85 Vincent Jackson, SD OK
10-96 Jason Witten, Dal good value
11-105 Jay Cutler, Den good
12-116 Matt Leinart, Ari Cutler/Leinhart are good reasons why Rivers too much of a reach
13-125 Tatum Bell, Det
14-136 Chris Henry, Ten
15-145 Anthony Thomas, Buf all 3 are good sleepers
16-156 Joe Nedney, SF

Went WR happy early on as most of the starting running backs were taken. Couldn't pass up Leinhart and Cutler so late in the draft. Going to try to package a QB and WR for a good RB.

You're not going to get much value for any of your QBs unless you want to deal Rivers. If you are content starting a platoon of Leinhart/Cutler, you should be able to get something decent for Rivers/Colston or any of the other recievers. You got some decent recievers at good points, but part of the reason is that this is a 2WR league where the pool isn't as deep, making them less good of steals. You really just missed a 3rd back and some decent backups in the mid levels, partially cause by reaching too early for Def/QB. Good picks early and late though.

[/ QUOTE ]

He has an option for 3 WR's. And given that all 3 he drafted I have in the top 12 I would say that is grate value. He got some great value late with T. Bell, and A. Thomas, but I do agree that he should of taken a RB over Rivers and a RB over a D.

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree that you really missed the middle of the draft. I would have been trying to take someone like Brandon Jackson, Jamal Lewis, Barber III, Norwood, or Fred Taylor there.

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree, but the only one availabe at the spot I picked Rivers was Brandon Jackson. The rest went in the 4-6 rounds. RB's were really going like crazy in this draft.

I was able to trade Rivers+Colston for Maroney+Horn so now my starting 5 are McGahee, Addai, Maroney, Wayne, Roy Williams with Boldin on the bench.

Wow, nice trade. That's a pretty stacked lineup now. I'm not as down on your lineup as some others, I think platooning Cutler/Leinart should be fine. Both made alot of strides by the end of the season. It's not ideal, but with the rest of your lineup it shouldn't really hurt you IMO

1st round you want to reduce variance. Rudi has the least question marks.

i agree, I think the pick in front of me will be Bush but wanted to check. If it's Rudi then I'll take Reggie Bush there even tho no keeper pick in 1st two rounds this league.

same 14-team league as above, however, I can keep Rivers for a 6th or Eli for an 8th pick [mid of round.]

Keep one, both, neither? Many young QBs will be kept like Ben and Carson and Leinart and Young so there won't be the plenty of good QB theorem at work here in the mid rounds like a normal league. 8th round[pick 105] seems like decent value for Eli, or am I crazy?

IMO, crazy. Giants lost best offensive (and best player) in Tiki, and alot will rest on Eli. Don't think he has the skill set to hold the pressure. I do like Rivers though, I think he is worth keeping.

I've seen both going much later. I don't think I've seen Rivers go earlier than the 8th, and Eli mostly in the 9-10 range or later
