Little Steven on today's "The Wiseguys Show", was asked directly why Silvio didn't have a gun handy when the hit came down.

Stevie maintained that Silvio is more of a businessman, and not a violent henchman.

Big Pussy wasn't buying it. "WHAT??? You just strangled a guy at the beginning of the show! You whacked me and Adrianna!!!"

Stevie replied, "Well, those were special occasions!"

When he saw that nobody was buying it, he allowed that the point of the scene was to elicit sympathy for Silvio, which probably led Chase to disarm him when he wrote the scene.
