I actually have no opinion on David's taste in women/whores, and I'm all for whoring in general, but I believe the prevailing theory on why men pursue busted-ass "women of the night" is because they feel too guilty to indulge in their upper-class counterparts.

Also, isn't this a chicken-and-egg scenario? Maybe he goes with the second-rate whores to avoid going busto in the first place? It correlates to the Gotta do the cocaine, to do the work, the make the money, to buy the cocaine, to do the work, to make the money, to buy the cocaine thing...
