I honestly can't see anything wrong with the red book (at least with regards to the colors). I love it and always have.

Small stakes hold'em is what springs to mind when I look at my shelf, and that is darker than this. NLTAP is no masterpiece either and Stox book is just plain horrid.

At least this one has a nice design.

[ QUOTE ]
Roxy, if there was a way to make the all-white words 'No-Limit Hold'em' stand out, with some kind of border or shadow or inoffensive 3d effect or something, the faces might seem less obtrusive. Looking at my books here, all those with white lettering have a border or a plain, dark background (or both).

Thanks for your suggestions Fraac, I am in the process of fixing that right now. I was thinking a subtle drop shadow may work, but I'll mess around with some other things first.

For the moment I have my revised SNG cover with more transparent bubbles and some tweaking I did with the leading.

Hi Gonso:

If we were to choose this cover design, there is still time to work with you to get the colors exactly right. So go ahead and lighten it as best you can for now, and then if selected, we'll work with you to get it perfect.

Best wishes,
Mason

Have you tried making the text yellow? That might help the book stand out a bit even if the background colors aren't terribly bright.

This is much harder to do than I thought. Thanks for sharing the 2+2 logo gonso. Book 2 would have the hearts and spade graphics btw. If there are 3 books I am screwed if there are 4 I would use each suit once.

Hey Stuey!

Glad to see you made an entry! I really like
the "exploding suit" bursts and the minimal
techno-type design. (now get to work on my
puzzle cube! )
