Is anyone curious as to what FTP has to say about this?

Especially since they're on this forum and replying to other threads RIGHT NOW:

It takes a while to read the OP and all the posts so far in this thread... give them a couple of hours. I'm sure they'll reply to this issue.

I do trust that Stars is probably a bit better about catching such stuff. But that might be just my overall "stars rocks!!" type sentiment shining through.

A while back I was reading on one of the bot forums, and a guy said he had the least problems from Stars than any other site (Party was the worst fwiw).

Also, datamining in not allowed on stars, so there is considerably less data out there to use in finding bots.

[/ QUOTE ]

YES!

Stars should allow datamining. It's the way for the player to independently check out the games.

I wonder how much we might find at stars with mining

Yeah, this isn't something a rep is probably going to just 'answer on their own'. This is a pretty big deal, especially if they were alerted to it.

I don't get why this guy would want to use multiple bots rather than just using one and having him multitable, unless the program somehow doesn't work for more than one table.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm surprised nobody catched on this yet.
He does it for the Rakeback. Breaking even is enough.

You do the math...

Does anybody have an estimate of how many hands per month the bots were playing collectively?

I'd be curious how much rakeback this guy was making on top of his 2BB/100 (or whatever he was winning).

Actually if FTPDoug/Sean insta-replied to this I would be a little taken back because that would mean he knew about this specific case right away. Replying to tournament availability is a much different story.

FWIW, I did an IP search on BrandonJoseph's account and only found that it was in the U.S.

Then I did a "tracert" and while it eventually timed out, the last hop was in Pittsburgh.

[/ QUOTE ]

To follow up,

I used several tools. 3 of them said Pennsylvania.

1 gave the town Indiana, Pennsylvania

If you multi table you don't get rakeback? Your post makes no sense.
