Note that the correction was not that Bonds didn't cheat on his taxes, on his wife, or in baseball... just that he didn't admit all that cheating. It's clear he's done all the cheating, just never admitted it.
Grunching the thread: For what it's worth, I hate OJ a lot more than I hate Bonds. Bonds is the winner of the biggest dick who hasn't killed anyone contest. I love how the Bonds defenders keep trotting out examples of other athletes who are also ass holes. Yes, there are lots of athletes who are ass holes. Bonds is just Perfect Storm of Ass Hole + Prodigious Talent + Zero Interest In His Own Public Image (Or Else Too Stupid Not To Openly Antagonize The Media And All His Teammates). |

Derek Jeter is just as big of a dick as Barry Bonds except he sweet talks with the media therefore he is loved.

And all he cares about is winning. He'll do whatever it takes to ensure a victory, whether it's diving into the stands, always hustling, or even giving up his position because he he is possibly the worst defensive SS in MLB history and he realizes he will help his team out so much more by moving into CF....Oh wait.

It's clear he's done all the cheating, just never admitted it. [/ QUOTE ] While Schilling is busy blogging on his site corrections about his statements ripping Bonds, here is an excerpt of what Bonds himself is blogging about on his site: On Saturday May 5th night I had the opportunity to be a part of a special dinner in honor of my friend Christopher Laub and to raise funds for the UCSF Children’s Hospital. I met Christopher in 2005 after he sent me a letter encouraging me to stay strong during my recovery from my knee surgeries. I was so inspired by this young man who was fighting for recovery from Leukemia. We formed a special friendship which has led me to have a relationship with the hospital where he receives treatment. I’d like to thank the Laub family for hosting the dinner and all of the guests who graciously supported the event. UCSF Children’s Hospital is a special place and I’m proud to be a part of it. Of course, you won't read in any sports media that year in, year out, Bonds raises more money for charity than almost every MLB player put together. |
