I've read the parts of the tax code that apply to gambling and I'm not so sure you're right. Here And here

I spoke to a tax lawyer who is a partner at the biggest firm in montreal. She grew up with my parents and has been friends with them for years. Not 100% guaranteed, but id be incredibly surprised if she was wrong. Shes brilliant and knows her [censored] about taxes.
