Re: Official Final Fantasy XII thread (likely spoilers inside)
40 should be good for the Caverns...I'm pretty sure I was like 37/38 when I went through there.

[/ QUOTE ] I believe you can buy them in the Clan bazaar/shop. Or you can take a airflight from one place to another, ask for the upgraded suite/room and there should be someone that will sell them to you. |

oic thanks a lot [/ QUOTE ] No problem, happy to help. Since it sounds like you may just be starting, here are some general tips - 1) Always steal 2) Potions are faster than healing spells, so having a gambit that makes a potion go off if your HP is at a critical point is good 3) You can do hunts with a guest character to make it easier 4) Get Mist quickenings for your main casters so that they have higher MP 5) Good time to invest in the general augment licenses (+HP, faster times, etc.) early in the game, they're useful throughout 6) Give your main spellcasters Katanas or other weapons that go off Magic ability 7) Hold onto shields and armors that resist certain schools of magic (i.e. fire, ice) 8) Buy the grimoires when you can 9) You don't have to level everyone but having backups are good if in a battle you need to switch in and out 10) Make sure you have spell/items for bad status/effects (i.e. poison, slow, sap, etc.), they really suck having them on 11) Always have Libra on, for the very least to see traps 12) Members not in the party still gain LP, just not EXP. |

Re: Official Final Fantasy XII thread (likely spoilers inside)
thanks a lot dude, implemented almost all those suggestions.
so... has anyone done the ixtab hunt? because it says the creature is in the stage 1 shaft of the henne mines. i've been zoning and rezoning into the stage 1 shaft about 15 times, and still no ixtab. i've spoken to the hunt guy, etc... was there something else i was meant to do? i'm lost. |

Re: Official Final Fantasy XII thread (likely spoilers inside)
Just a few more cause I'm bored -
13) Talk to Montblanc everytime you go up a clan rank or kill a boss of some sort (the ones that give you the congrats animation afterwards). He'll give you rewards. 14) Bosses/hunts only give LP, not EXP. 15) You can pretty much sell all of the loot that drops. You may want to hold onto teleport stones and gyhsal greens. There's one or two items you're given that you're told to give to so and so but it's pretty obvious. 16) Bosses can be effected by negative statuses. Usually trying to hit a tough boss with a combination of Slow, Blind and Silence is good. 17) Learn Dispel and dispel positive buffs on the bosses at the beginning of each fight. 18) Fights were there's a boss with several underlings usually are much easier killing the underlings first then the main boss (versus just zerging the boss). 19) As far as I know there are no bosses but there are some regular creatures that can't be hit with regular melee weapons (need to use bows, guns, spells, etc.) 20) Charge is good in the beginning, less so later when you get the when hurt gain MP augment and the defeat enemy gain MP augment. |
