I just finally had time to get Lost Levels and noticed it was 600 points instead of 500. Is it because it's an import?

Depends on the genres you like.

If you like shooters: Gunstar Heroes
If you like platformers: Sonic LDO (my favorite is 2, but you cant go wrong with any)
If you like RPGS: Shining Force or Beyond Oasis
Beat 'em Ups: Streets of Rage 2

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was 600 too. But also the game that came out on N64 this past week was 1200 instead of the usual 1000 so it might be the fact it was an import.

BTW, Nintendo, GET SMPRG OUT SOON!!!

Neo-Geo gets in the mix today October 8th.(they cost 900 points to purchase)

Neo Geo- Art of Fighting
Neo Geo- Fatal Fury: King of Fighters
Neo Geo- World Heroes

Maybe someone that owned a neo-geo or played the games in some way can comment on them.

I almost wish that they didn't announce that Super Mario RPG was coming to VC because I wouldn't be checking each week to see if it is coming out and each week for just about a year I have been disappointed. Oh well... theres always October 15th.

I'm not Asian but I'm sure I could beat Mario 3 in like an hour or so no warps. Not a hard game.

[/ QUOTE ]

No warps? 1 hour? Nah.. There's some slow moving side scrolling, I bet you couldn't. It's not that it's a particularly hard game, it's that it takes some time to get thru all those levels and cut scenes and such.

[/ QUOTE ]

Super Mario 3 record for all levels is 1 hr 31 min. With warping, the record is 11 minutes 10 sec.

I guess 900 points isn't a terrible price point. 10 years ago they were $200+ a game. If they release some Metal Slug I'd probably get it even though the anthology would be the far greater value.
