general question: are there any subtle points in the rules for how you can get a defender jumping at you on a fake and then lean into him and shoot when he lands on you to get the foul? [/ QUOTE ] the defender has to jump vertically, otherwise the foul is going to be on him. |

Anyone else think Richardson takes too many 3s? Seems like he should be able to get into the paint at will

[/ QUOTE ] the defender has to jump vertically, otherwise the foul is going to be on him. [/ QUOTE ] thanks for the help. so the defender jumps vertically and the shooter will be the fouler if he makes contact. I thought the Warriors had the chance to get under guys who were jumping at them. Like the last replay in the half time show. I think it was Barnes shoots from close on the right side, misses, rebound bounces off a Jazz, off Barnes, out to Jackson I think behind the arc. Kirlenko goes flying at him. He literally had to lean to the side to let AK fly over and past him. Then he drives in and makes a shorter jumper. I didn't get why he wouldn't play for the foul shooting a 3. Late in the half Baron also had the ball out on the left side. Jazz guy leaps at him. Maybe he woudn't reach. But it looked like Baron moved to his right out of the guy's way and waited to shoot. Same thing. I know I'm probably missing something. |

sick half so far. Harrington's o has been a nice surprise but he's been braindead defensively. I can't even bitch about the refs so far! go Warriors!

BAsically the defender shouldn't leave his feet on a fake or else hes in danger of getting called for the foul. |
