Just a short question for ok, seems to be a decent moral guy:

Do all the peoples who live decent lives whilst being NONchristians (Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buhhdists, agnostics, atheists, etc) get to heaven when their souls shuffle off the mortal coil because they have lived (or at least tried to live) decent lives? OR do they NOT get into heaven because they did NOT accept Jesus as their personal savior?

Short answer: maybe. In studying the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John) we see that many people joined the kingdom in many different ways. The only constant was Jesus, and the work he provided for on the cross. So, bottom line, anyone who is forgiven and who has eternal life has it solely because of Jesus. Therefore, your answer is 'maybe' leaning toward 'possibly' and even a shade of 'probably.'

Hopefully you can see that maybe->possibly-->probably isn't quite good enough for most. Unless the answer was a "yes" then it's hard for me to see how Christianity, or even your interpretation of it, ISN'T hopelessly exclusive, thus in itself, immoral.

SABR, I appreciate what you're saying. You know absolutely nothing about what the Bible says, and you know nothing about Dr. Ross' work. You skimmed over what I just cut and pasted. He does not try to prove anything that goes against what science already knows. He simply shows how the biblical account in Genesis matches what science already has discovered about the origin of the universe. Then goes on to show how this is most likely the result of a designer.

We can't convince the other. Let this be out last attempt at interaction. I am pointing out that the bible and science is compatible in its account of the origin of the universe, and mention Dr. Ross' work in that field. I obv haven't studied this field. You assuredly know more about it than me. But the same is true about what I know about the Bible. You are trying to claim that the bible says plants came before the Sun, when the bible doesn't say that at all. I'm just pointing out that we are knowledgeable about different things, and you quoting the bible to prove that bible wrong is no less spurious than what you say my scientific quotations are.
