For everyone else: My redemption code for 48 hours of free Gold membership is [censored] up. As a result, I cant get in on any rated matches yet, social only. They are working on a fix, hopefully they get it soon. YEah I could go ahead and sign up for gold, but Im a cheap bastard and want my free 48 hours first.

FWIW, Im generally owning people in Social games pretty hard in any game type outside of shotty snipers..I really need to work on my sniping

Sign a new account up. Select silver when it gives the choices. Your account will automatically be upgraded to a 3 month gold trial. You can do this 3 times per xbox.

I tried that for a friend to start a new account (I already have a gold on my Xbox), and it only gave him a 1 month upgrade. Still a great tip though.
