Re: Full Tilt store...
Really? The Garmin I have comes preloaded with the US and Canada. The thing is totally brainless to use and worth its weight in gold on a roadtrip.

Boz and Wook, Which Garmin do you have? or have used? [/ QUOTE ] The one I tried was a couple of years ago, so it's probably a) out-of-date, and b) been improved since. The Magellan, otoh, I tried just 6 months ago. Their stuff is more geared toward hikers, etc, than consumer-automotive needs, imo. Very detailed topo information, for instance, but that makes the "whole" map too big to keep in the unit, so that's why you have to load the piece of it you want at any given time. One of the really nice features of the TomTom is the Points of Interest, and business listings. Makes it uber-easy to find the nearest Mickey-D's when you need an Egg McMuffin. |

[/ QUOTE ] Points of Interest is key, and it looks like the Garmin Street Pilot 330c comes with fully loaded maps(w/ PoI's) of USA, Canada, and Puerto Rico! So unless someone has a better idea for my FTP points, I'm gonna get it |

Re: Full Tilt store...
Yeah, the Garmin I have, I think it's the 330c, but maybe the 340c, comes preloaded with restaurants, gas stations, parks, etc. When I was driving around in Montreal, I was going out with some friends to a restaurant for dinner. There were natives in the car ahead of us who we were following and who allegedly knew the way. They got lost, so I flipped on my Garmin, looked up the restaurant, and got us there w/o any more trouble. It came with stuff to update the software, maps, etc., but I've never connected it to my computer. Everything worked perfectly right out of the box.

Re: Full Tilt store...
Is there a way to save notes on fulltilt? I just started playing there and took a bunch, tried to play today with the same people and they were gone. Did I somehow delete them or is it always like that?

If you're playing on multiple computers, you need to transfer the DAT file thats found in the FTP program file thats titled as your username. Just copy/paste and replace and all your player notes and color coding schemes transfer |
